Hollywood Escape

Here we are at the beautiful Runyon Canyon Park on a hiking trail that extends over two miles and is spread over 134 acres in Los Angeles, CA. This is a place well-known for its mid-day escape and celebrity traffic. From the peaks you can see the Hollywood sign, the hills of silver lake, the downtown skyscrapers, the skyscrapers of Century City, and even West Hollywood. This was an unbelievable experience that we were fortunate enough to live. Thanks Aya Healthcare for making this possible.
Drum Circle on Venice Beach

The drum circles are something that goes on at Venice Beach quite frequently. Sometimes there are many different types of drums, other times there are stringed instruments and horns. You see people of all different ethnicities, ages and backgrounds. It is a truly joyful and awesome experience that happens spontaneously.
On this day, another travel nurse friend, my 24-year-old daughter and I went to watch the drums and then got to see the beautiful sunset on the boardwalk.

I visited Hollywood during my travel nurse assignment in Southern California. This is a picture of the Hollywood sign. We actually hiked up to it! It’s located in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles. The letters are 50 ft high. All the contours of the hills give it its hard-to-miss wavy appearance.
A New Addition to the Family While Travel Nursing
